Nengren Temple

Located at south Yunshan Road, the Nengren Temple covers a land area of 10,000m2. It was built in Xianfeng and Tongzhi reign of Qing Dynasty. Later, it was rebuilt by Dai Jitao during the Republic of China era. At that period, it became a place for military and political celebrities to get together. During the Anti-Japanese Period, it was ruined. Rear mountain of Nengren Temple became well-known since Liu Yongfu, a famous anti-French general, paid a visit there frequently. Today the temple still keeps a book carving left by Liu Yongfu. In addition, the temple boasts many historic sites, e.g. Tiger Running Spring, Sweet Dew Spring, Yuhong Pool, ancient bridge, etc. According to records, Mr. Sun Yat-Sen once rested in this temple in 1924. Currently, Sun Yat-Sen Resting Memorial Hall is set in the temple. Since Nengren Temple was open to visitors in May 1995 after restoration, it has attracted lots of visitors.
